The delegation led by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania, Inga Ruginienė, who arrived in Armenia to participate in the 8th Summit of the European Political Community, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial, accompanied by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lithuania to Armenia, Andrius Pulokas.
The guests were welcomed and accompanied during the visit by the Acting Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute (AGMI), Hrachya Tashchyan, who presented the history and significance of the Armenian Genocide Memorial.
Ms. Inga Ruginienė laid a wreath at the monument commemorating the victims of the Armenian Genocide, after which other members of the delegation placed flowers at the Eternal Flame and honored the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide with a minute of silence.
The members of the Lithuanian delegation also visited the Armenian Genocide Museum, where, accompanied by Elen Hakobyan, they toured the permanent and temporary exhibitions. Subsequently, Ms. Inga Ruginienė signed the Memory Book for Honorable Guests.
Expressing gratitude for the visit, AGMI Acting Director Hrachya Tashchyan presented the high-ranking guest with an English-language illustrated book about the Armenian Genocide Museum.
