The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, Ms. Anita Anand, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial, accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Vahan Kostanyan.

The guests were welcomed and guided during the visit by the Acting Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute (AGMI), Hrachya Tashchyan, who presented the history and significance of the Armenian Genocide Memorial.

The officials of the two countries placed flowers at the eternal flame and honored the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide with a minute of silence.

Ms. Anita Anand had a brief tour of the Armenian Genocide Museum, where, accompanied by guide Hasmik Martirosyan, she viewed the permanent and temporary exhibitions. She subsequently signed the Memory Book for Honorable Guests.

Expressing gratitude for the visit, AGMI Acting Director Hrachya Tashchyan presented the high-ranking guest with an English-language illustrated book about the Armenian Genocide Museum.
