Today, a delegation led by Martina von Künssberg Sarre, Chairperson of the Austria-Armenia Friendship Group of the Parliament of the Republic of Austria, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial, accompanied by the Ambassador of Austria to Armenia, Mr. Robert Gerschner.
The delegation also included four members of parliament representing various factions of the Austrian Parliament.
The guests were welcomed and accompanied during the visit by the Acting Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, Hrachya Tashchyan. Mrs. Martina von Künssberg Sarre placed a wreath at the monument commemorating the victims of the Armenian Genocide, after which the members of the delegation laid flowers at the Eternal Flame and honored the memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide with a minute of silence. They toured the Armenian Genocide Museum, where they were introduced to the permanent and temporary exhibitions by Lusine Abrahamyan, the AGMI Deputy Director of Museum Affairs. At the end of the tour, the members of the delegation signed the Book of Honorary Guests.
