The delegation arriving on an official visit to Armenia, led by Ignazio Cassis, Vice President of the Swiss Federal Council, Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, and OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial, accompanied by Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Christina Tataryan, Ambassador of Armenia to Switzerland Hasmik Tolmajian, and Ambassador of Switzerland to Armenia Andrea Barbara Baumann.

The delegation was welcomed and accompanied during the visit by Hrachya Tashchyan, Acting Director of the AGMI (Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute). He presented the construction history, architectural features, and significance of the Armenian Genocide Memorial.

Mr. Ignazio Cassis laid a wreath at the monument honoring the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide, after which the guests observed a minute of silence near the Eternal Flame in honor of the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide.

The members of the delegation toured the permanent and temporary exhibitions of the Armenian Genocide Museum, learning about the history of the Armenian Genocide, its implementation, and the human and cultural losses suffered by the Armenian people. At the end of the tour, delegation leader Ignazio Cassis signed the Guest of Honor Book of the Armenian Genocide Museum.

At the end of the visit, Hrachya Tashchyan, Acting Director of AGMI, thanked the delegation members for their visit and presented the delegation leader with an illustrated catalog of the Armenian Genocide Museum.
