On April 18, at 1:00 PM, the opening of the temporary exhibition "Identity, Memory, and Survival: Armenian Children during the Genocide" will take place at the Jansem Gallery of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute. The exhibition has been coordinated and curated by three groups of students under the mentorship of AGMI staff. On that day, they will also hold an exhibition-sale of their handmade works—dolls, belts, and recycled papers—prepared during practical workshops held within the framework of the "Collective Memory: Engaging Youth in Curatorial Activities" (COREM) project.

The project, which aims to actively involve adolescents in the teaching of 20th-century genocides and the preservation of their memory, was launched in September 2025 in cooperation with the Pompeu Fabra University of Spain and the AGMI.

The 27 participating students from four Yerevan schools (Basic School No. 61 named after King Argishti I, Basic School No. 71 named after Nelson Stepanyan, Basic School No. 128 named after Leo Tolstoy, and Basic School No. 194 named after Armen Hovhannisyan, along with two coordinating students from the "Aralez" NGO) attended a lecture titled "Forced Assimilation of Armenian Children During the Genocide" on the project's launch day. On the final day, April 24, they will participate in a concluding online meeting with participating children from other project countries: Poland and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
