The Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute (AGMI), together with the Armenian International Law Association (AILA), and with the support of our sponsoring organization Foley Hoag LLP and other partners, are proud to announce the launch of the world’s first moot court competition dedicated exclusively to the crime of genocide.
The competition will take place on 23–26 April 2026 in Yerevan, Armenia, and will simulate proceedings before the International Court of Justice (ICJ). Students from universities around the world will engage in high-level legal debates on one of the gravest crimes under international law.

Team composition: 2-4 students
Eligibility: Bachelor’s and Master’s students in law or related fields
Application deadline: 1 February 2026
Participants are invited to Yerevan for a unique academic, professional, and cultural experience, including oral rounds, special events, and a visit to the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute.
