The delegation led by the President of Greece, Konstantinos Tasoulas, who arrived in Armenia to participate in the 8th Summit of the European Political Community, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial, accompanied by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Greece to Armenia, Christos Sofianopoulos.

The guests were welcomed and guided during the visit by the Acting Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute (AGMI), Hrachya Tashchyan. He presented the history of the creation of the Armenian Genocide Memorial, its symbolism and significance, and also spoke about the Memorial Column, noting that it symbolizes the rebirth of the Armenian people.

Mr. Konstantinos Tasoulas laid a wreath at the monument eternalizing the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide, after which other members of the delegation placed flowers at the eternal flame and honored the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide with a minute of silence.
