On March 31, a delegation of the Belgium-Armenia Friendship Group of the Kingdom of Belgium, led by Els Van Hoof, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial and Museum. The delegation was accompanied by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Belgium to Armenia, Eric de Muynck, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Kingdom of Belgium, Tigran Balayan. At the entrance of the museum, the delegation was welcomed by the Acting Director of the AGMI, Hrachya Tashchyan, as well as the head of the RA National Assembly Armenia-Belgium Friendship Group, Armen Rustamyan.

The members of the Belgian parliamentary delegation laid flowers at the Eternal Flame and honored the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide with a minute of silence. The guests were provided with details about the Memorial, as well as clarifications regarding certain episodes related to the Armenian Genocide.

Following the Memorial visit, the guests toured the museum accompanied by guide Meri Yeghikyan. At the conclusion, they signed the museum’s Memory Book.
