We are pleased to announce that AGMI young researchers Narine Hakobyan and Ellen Hakobyan have been recognized as winners in professional competitions.

Narine’s article “Thanksgiving for Americans, We Mourn Massacred Armenians: Commemoration, Identity, and the Search for Prevention in the American Armenian Response to the Hamidian Massacres of the 1890s”, published in the prestigious international journal Nationalities Papers, has been recommended for funding within the framework of the YSSP (Young Scientists Support Program) "Competition for Encouraging Young Scientists for the Publication of Scientific Articles."

Ellen’s dissertation topic, “Armenians in the Nakhichevan ASSR: Cultural Isolation, Forced Deportation, and Memory”, has been awarded a grant under the "Research Support Program for Postgraduate Students and Young Applicants – 2025" by the Higher Education and Science Committee of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.
