The conference “The Armenian Genocide Centennial: Addressing the Implications” took place on 31 January, at Haygazian University in Beirut.
Deputy Director of Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, Dr.Suren Manukyan had a presentation titled “The demographic, cultural, geographical, economic and political consequences of the Armenian Genocide”.
Speeches of the conference included reports about the consequences of the genocide and international laws to eliminate them, Armenian-Turkish relations, etc.
The conference was organized by the initiative of Haygazian University and Lebanese Local Committee on coordination of the events dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, under the patronage of President of the Union of Armenian Evangelical Churches in the Near East, Rev. Megrditch Karagoezian.
