ISRAELI AMBASSADOR VISITS ARMENIAN GENOCIDE MEMORIAL



Newly appointed Ambassador of Israel to the Republic of Armenia, Eliav Belozerkowski accompanied by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Israel, Armen Smbatyan and Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, Harutyun Marutyan visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex and presented the history of the Armenian Genocide Memorial to guests.

The delegation from Israel laid flowers at the eternal fire and honored the memory of the innocent victims with a minute of silence.

Accompanied by director Marutyan, the guests toured the area of the Memorial, got acquainted with its significance.

The Israeli ambassador also visited the Armenian Genocide Museum and got acquainted with the history of the Armenian Genocide. After the tour, Mr. Ambassador made a note in the Book of Honorable Guests.

At the end of the visit, the AGMI Director presented the Ambassador with volumes of articles on the Armenian Genocide published in the American press.

The seven commemorative medals dedicated to the Armenian Genocide depict the massacres of the Armenians, the roads of exile, the Armenian intelligentsia and the plundered temples.
