THE PARLIAMENTARY HEARINGS WERE HELD IN AGMI REGARDING THE SCHEDULED WORKS DEDICATED TO 100th ANNIVERSARY OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

On 13 June 2014, RA Parliamentary hearings titled “Promoting the process of international recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide and the scheduled works dedicated to 100th Anniversary of Armenian Genocide and the parliamentary participation opportunities” were held in the conference hall of AGMI.

The meeting was organized by the joint initiative of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Affairs and Foreign Affairs Committees of RA National Assembly.

During the Parliamentary hearings reports were made by RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandyan, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, RA President's Chief of Staff Vigen Sargsyan, director of AGMI and Secretary of the State Commission on the Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide Hayk Demoyan, RA Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs Artak Zakaryan, RA Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Affairs Artak Davtyan.

The meeting discussed the projects and Initiatives about the opportunities of outreach the theme of recognition and the condemnation of the Armenian Genocide in different countries of the world and the manifestations of those precedents in parliaments, as well as the intended scope of work in international organizations and bilateral relations.
