October 28, 2014
Today Ismail Beshikchi, the Turkish historian, public figure, and Osman Baydemir, the former mayor of Diyarbekir, a famous lower in Turkey, accompanying with a group of Turkish and Kurdish citizens visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial.
The quests from Turkey also had a guided tour of the temporary exhibition dedicated to the WWI centennial.

The Armenia-France friendship group of the French Senate headed by senator Philippe Kaltenbach visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex and the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute.

On 19th September within the framework of a work visit to Armenia the delegation of Armenian-Kuwaiti FriendshipGroup of Kuwaiti Parliament visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex.

Member of the British House of Lords Chair of the British Armenia All-Party Parliamentary Group of United Parliament of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Baroness Caroline Cox visited Tsitsernakaberd and honored the memory of innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide. The Baroness also visited AGMI and got acquainted with the temporary exhibition of the museum, which represents the story of the Armenian Genocide.

Head of the Guard Department of the Interior Ministry of the Republic of Belarus, Police Colonel Vadim Sinyavsky visited the memorial to the victims of the Armenian Genocide at Tsitsernakaberd and the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute.

The delegation headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of Iraq Rowsch Nuri Shaways visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex to pay a tribute to the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims. The members of the delegation placed flowers by the memorial complex dedicated to the Armenian Genocide victims and honored the memory of the innocent martyrs with a minute of silence.

A delegation headed by the Marseilles Mayor Jean Claude Gaudin on October 26, 2013, visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex. The members of the delegation put flowers at the Eternal Fire and honored the memory of the innocent victims with a minute of silence. The Marseilles Mayor watered the tree, planted by him, during his official visit to Yerevan in 2007.

Deputy Speakers of the Parliament of the Republic of Latvia Andrejs Klementjevs, Inese Libina-Egnere and the MP Dana Reizniece-Ozola accompanied by the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Head of Armenia-Latvia Friendship Group Eduard Sharmazanov visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex and the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute.

The Russian delegation headed by the Chief of Staff of the RF Presidential Administration Sergei Ivanov, which is in Armenia on the occasion of the inauguration of the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex and put flowers at the Memorial of the Armenian Genocide victims. Sergei Ivanov laid a wreath at the Memorial Complex and paid tribute to the Memory of the Armenian Genocide Victims.
Sergei Ivanov watered a fir which was planted 10 years ago.

On November 24 the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Bashkiria Raphayil Zinurov Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex, put flowers at the Eternal Fire and honored the memory of the innocent victims with a minute of silence.

Cardinal Kurt Koch, President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex. Cardinal Kurt Koch put flowers at the Eternal Fire and prayed for the repose of the victims’ souls. Then the guests visited Armenian Genocide Museum.

The delegation of the Russian Institute of Strategic Studies (RISS), Moscow, headed by the director Leonid Reshetnikov and accompanied by Ruben Safrastyan, the director of the Institute of Oriental Studies of Republic of Armenia, visited the Armenian Genocide Museum & Institute. The guests from the Russian Federation took a guided tour in the museum. Afterwards they had a meeting with the director of AGMI Hayk Demoyan.

Christos Malikkidas, the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Cyprus, visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex and put flowers at the Eternal Fire and honored the memory of the innocent victims with a minute of silence.

The delegation from Cyprus visited Armenian Genocide Museum and took a tour of the museum.

A group of Cambridge University MA/PhD Students of Department of Politics and International Studies visited Armenian Genocide Museum and took a tour of the museum after which they had a meeting with the director of AGMI Hayk Demoyan. Mr. Demoyan briefed the students a bit about the Armenian genocide issues and answered the question of interest to the students.
Among other European and North American students in the group were also British, Indian as well as a Turk student.

The Secretary of the Russian Federation Security Council Nikolay Patrushev, who arrived in Armenia at the invitation of the Secretary of the Armenian Security Council Arthur Baghdasaryan, visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex.

On November 9, 2011, the granddaughter of Fridtjof Nansen Marit Greve, with the Norwegian delegation, visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex. She laid flowers at the Eternal Fire and honored the memory of the innocent victims with a minute of silence. The director of the Armenian Genocide Museum and Institute Hayk Demoyan gave golden medals "Fridtjof Nansen 150” to Mrs. Greve.

On November 7, 2011, Asya Darbinyan, a graduate research fellow at the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, recently spent four days at the Armenian Research Center conducting research for her dissertation on Near East Relief orphanages.
Near East Relief (now called the Near East Foundation) was a major U.S. relief organization established during the First World War to assist the victims of the Armenian Genocide and other atrocities of the same period.
Darbinyan is a Carnegie Endowment fellow this term, based at UCLA, but also is visiting other academic and research centers in Washington, DC; New York; Boston; and Dearborn to conduct additional fieldwork.

On November 6, 2011, Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna Head of the Russian Imperial House visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex, put flowers at the eternal fire and honored the memory of the innocent victims with a minute of silence.

Grand Duchess of Russia Maria Vladimirovna also visited Armenian Genocide Museum took a guided tour of the museum and left a note in the Commemoration Book.

On October 25, 2011, the newly appointed U.S. Ambassador to Armenia John A. Heffern accompanied by his spouse Mrs. Libby Dowling Heffern, visited Armenian Genocide Museum & Institute. They got acquainted with the director of AGMI Hayk Demoyan. Afterwards, the guests took a guided tour of the museum.

On October 13, 2011, Secretary General of Interpol Ronald Noble visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex and put flowers at the memorial of the Armenian Genocide victims.
Secretary General Ronald Noble watered the fir which has been planted at the Memorial Alley in 2003.

On August 30, 2011, the regular meeting of the MFA senior staff and the heads of the diplomatic missions started in the Conference Hall of the K. Demirjian Sports and Concert Complex.
During the consultation the high-ranking officials of the Republic of Armenia had their speeches.
Hayk Demoyan, the Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute and the Secretary of the State Commission of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, presented the preparatory works of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

Dr. Hayk Demoyan, director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, has become a new member of the Genocide Education Project’s (GenEd) advisory board.

The Genocide Education Project is a nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization that assists educators in teaching about human rights and genocide, particularly the Armenian Genocide, by developing and distributing instructional materials, providing access to teaching resources and organizing educational workshops.

Director of AGMI H.Demoyan and Deputy Director of AGMI S.Manukyan had a meeting with ambassador of RA in Russia Oleg Yesayan in Moscow. During the meeting the projects and cooperation plans between Embassy and AGMI were discussed.

Minister of French Cooperation Henri de Raincourt visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex, within the framework of his official visit to Armenia on June 16-17, and put a wreath at the memorial of the Armenian Genocide victims.
The members of the French delegation put flowers at the eternal fire and honored the memory of the innocent victims with a minute of silence.
Minister of French Cooperation Henri de Raincourt visited Armenian Genocide museum where he took a guided tour of the museum and left a note in the Commemoration Book.

The delegation headed by President of Brest Regional Executive Committee in Belarus Konstantin Sumar visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex. Mr. Konstantin Sumar put a wreath at the memorial of the Armenian Genocide victims.
The members of the Belarusian delegation put flowers at the eternal fire and honored the memory of the innocent victims with a minute of silence.
Afterwards the delegation visited Armenian Genocide museum, took a guided tour of the museum and the head of the delegation Konstantin Sumar left a note in the Commemoration Book.

Thomas O. Melia, Deputy Assistant Secretary of USA, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex, put flowers at the eternal fire. Mr. Thomas O. Melia visited Armenian Genocide museum where he took a guided tour of the museum and left a note in the Commemoration Book.

Dr. Ara Sanjian, the Associate Professor in Armenian and Middle Eastern History from University of Michigan - Dearborn had a meeting in the Armenian Genocide Museum & Institute with the staff of AGMI. The actual issues on the study of Armenian Genocide, the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and the collaboration between Republic of Armenia and Armenian Diaspora were discussed during this meeting.

Deputy-director of AGMI Suren Manukyan participated on conference dedicated to 150th anniversary of Fridtjof Nansens held in a city of Kharkiv, Ukraine on 1 June 2011. This speech was on activities of Norwegian humanist to help Armenia refugees after Armenian Genocide.

Within her two-day official visit Patricia Flor, Ambassador and Special Envoy for Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia of the German Foreign Ministry visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex and put a wreath at the memorial of the Armenian Genocide victims. Patricia Flor also visited Armenian Genocide museum where she took a guided tour of the museum and left a note in the Commemoration Book.

On April 29, Florida-based filmmaker Bared Maronian’s film, "Orphans of the Genocide" was presented at the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute’s Komitas Hall.

On Monday, speaker of the Croatian parliament Luka Bebic who is in Armenia on an official visit has paid respect to the Armenian Genocide victims. On the first day of their official visit to Yerevan, the delegation headed by Bebic laid flowers on the Genocide Memorial Complex in Tsitsernakaberd.

The lecture of Hayk Demoyan dedicated to the 100th anniversary of publication of the first Armenian sport magazine “Marmnamarz” and to the 125th anniversary of Shavarsh Krisian, one of the founders of the Armenian sport and Olympic movement, took place on February 21, at 13.00, in the hall of the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture.

On November 29, the head of the Russian Presidential Administration Sergey Narishkin visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex of the Armenian genocide in the framework of a state visit in Armenia and laid a wreath at the monument of the Armenian Genocide victims. Mr. Narishkin, accompanied by the director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Hayk Demoyan, got acquainted with materials depicting the big tragedy of 1915, and left a note in the Commemoration Book.
